Tawazun Economic Council (Tawazun) is set to highlight new initiatives that focus on enabling the defence and security industry and facilitating ecosystem growth, at the Unmanned Systems Exhibition (UMEX) and Simulation and Training Exhibition (SIMTEX) 2022.
Opening on 20 February the exhibition, and accompanying conference, is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
Mona Ahmed Al Jaber, Director of Corporate Communication at Tawazun, said, “We look forward to participating in this key event to demonstrate our support for the ongoing development of strategic industries and to promote technology transfer, innovation and the adoption of 4th Industrial Revolution technology.”
Al Jaber continued by saying that UMEX provides an ideal platform for Tawazun to connect with key industry players as well as with Emirati and local partners taking part in the exhibition.
“As the only event in the Middle East dedicated to drones, robotics, components and unmanned systems, UMEX offers a great opportunity for local defence and security companies to build partnerships with the world’s leading developers of unmanned systems, and to keep abreast with the latest technology”, said Al Jaber. She also indicated that Tawazun will announce a number of strategic partnerships and projects during the event.
She revealed that Tawazun’s pavilion will have a dedicated section for Tawazun Industrial Park (TIP), which offers complete industrial real estate solutions, including highly specialised manufacturing and storage facilities for the defence and security industry.
The Tawazun pavilion will also act as host to Emirates Defence Companies Council, the UAE’s primary communication platform between industry players.
