Tawazun Council is mandated to oversee the regulations, standards, and governance for the defense and security industry to further strengthen UAE’s standing through international best practices.

Develop sector-specific policies and regulations.

Regulate import and export of defense and security products and services.

Regulate industry related permits and licenses.

Regulate R&D programs and budgets including IP exploitation.

Establish testing standards to manage the quality of defense & security products and services.
