As part of its on-going method to support and emphasize the value of education in the UAE, Tawazun has revealed its involvement in two vital events for the empowerment of national youth. The first is the Emirates Skills National Competition 2016 where Tawazun is the Gold Sponsor for the event. Held under the Patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union (GWU), Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF) and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and arranged by Abu Dhabi Centre for Education, Vocational and Technical training, the event is taking place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre in between 10th & 12th May.
The Emirates Skills National Competition for young skill in the UAE clarifies the skills of candidates in more than 40 various categories in Craft and Technological abilities, where contestants take on their peers according to worldwide standards and requirements established by the referees at the World Skills Competition.
The 2nd event was the 4th Undergraduate Student Research Competition (UGSRC) under the Patronage of H.E. Hussain Al Hammadi, Minister of Education. The one-day event, where Tawazun participated as the Silver Sponsor, took place at the Abu Dhabi University Campus on the 9th May.
Throughout the competitors 265 research projects were included by more than 730 young Emirati students, representing practically 25 universities. Projects are presented to an evaluating committee that consists of 60 members.
HE Saif Mohamed Al Hajeri, Chief Executive Officer, Tawazun, stated; “Tawazun takes great pride in sponsoring and participating in these essential events which are borne from the company’s eagerness to support Emirati skill and promote creativity. Hence allowing this vital segment of contributors to boost their abilities.”
“Tawazun has placed great importance on education and training as one of the important aspects that add to talents and give them the experience needed to accomplish growth and development on the nationwide level for employment in the future”, added Al Hajeri.
Worth noting, these competitors serve as platforms for determining and refining Emirati talents through workshops and expert advice, and supply the chance to interact with specialists, instructors and representatives of the market’s most popular players in the field of technical and vocational training.
