Jaheziya and ZonesCorp sign MoU for cooperation on safety and security training

Tawazun Safety, Security and Disaster Management City (Jaheziya) – a Tawazun subsidiary- has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Higher Corporation for Specialised Economic Zones (ZonesCorp) aimed at boosting cooperation towards implementing future training programmes in the fields of safety, security, and emergency planning, crisis and disaster management.
The MoU is in line with ZonesCorp’s objectives which include the development, promotion and supervision of Workers’ Residential Cities (WRC) in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. It provides for cooperation between the ZonesCorp and Jaheziya in identifying opportunities in respect of the WRC, including training in the fields of safety, security, and emergency planning, crisis and disaster management.

Mohamed Hassan Al Qemzi, Chief Executive Officer of ZonesCorp and Jamal Al Shamsi, Managing Director of Jaheziya, signed the MoU.

Following the signing, Mr. Al Qemzi said, “We at the Higher Corporation for Specialised Economic Zones are continuously searching for opportunities to enhance our operations and to form strong, meaningful collaborations with significant entities in the U.A.E.. Our ultimate aim through those partnerships is to support one another in achieving prosperity and growth for our Emirate and for the country. We see this strategic tie-up with Jaheziya as an important step for us, as it will allow for safer and more secure worker residential cities, which is one of our top priorities.” For his part, Mr. Al Shamsi stated, “We are delighted to enter into this collaboration with ZonesCorp, and sincerely hope that it will reflect positively on the security, safety at the Work Residential City.

“Jaheziya is keen on providing distinctive courses and facilities that will support in instilling the safety culture in the WRC. In addition, some of the training courses are specifically dedicated to provide worker village management with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform during incident situations in their worker villages,” he added.
