Tawazun Holding today announced that its employees gathered at Al Mamoura Head Quarters to take a quiet moment to remember and reflect on the past and present brave souls that have given their lives for the safety and security of the UAE and its people.
The focal point of this remembrance will be a unique art piece created by Maitha Demithan, a talented, young Emirati Artist and commissioned by Tawazun. This artwork was created exclusively for the occasion of Commemoration Day and was named ‘Aman’, which means safety in Arabic.
H.E. Saif Al Hajeri, Tawazun CEO said, “This was the perfect way for us to express what Commemoration Day means to us. It’s something that will bring all our employees together to remember the sacrifices made by these special people on this Commemoration Day and all the others moving forward. It shows togetherness and appreciation from our Leadership and all of our people”.
In describing the art, the artist said,” They are the nation’s martyrs, they are the Emirates, the seven Emirates, and those connecting hands of the seven young children represent the unity of our leaders and their sons in these hard times. By the virtue of Allah, the efforts of our leaders, our brave soldiers and what they do to secure our country and its borders, we are safe.”
Demithan added, “I’m delighted to have been selected by Tawazun to join in this moment that has been created to enable us all to remember our heroes. I, like all Emiratis, have this burning passion to give back to my country – I do that through art and I hope this piece speaks volumes about how special this day is for all of us”.
‘Aman’ is exhibited at Tawazun’s Head Quarters, its new home.
