Abu Dhabi, August 28, 2025 – H.E. Nasser Humaid Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement, said: Emirati women continue to write new chapters of success and leadership, playing an active role in strengthening the nation’s competitiveness and shaping its economic and knowledge-based future. This day marks an occasion to honour a distinguished national journey, during which Emirati women have made their presence felt across vital sectors, achieving milestones that reflect their conscious vision and ambitious drive.
Emirati women have made their mark in innovation, strategic project leadership, and the shaping of national policies. They now stand at the forefront of space, advanced technologies, AI, and engineering—leading teams and driving a knowledge-based, sustainable economy. In entrepreneurship, they have launched impactful ventures and demonstrated excellence in fields like cybersecurity and renewable energy, strengthening the UAE’s global standing as a hub of innovation and progress.
Under the official theme for Emirati Women’s Day 2025 “Hand in Hand, Celebrating the 50th”, and in alignment with the designation of this year as the Year of Community, the pivotal role of Emirati women in promoting social cohesion comes into sharper focus. Through their active contributions to national initiatives, they help instil the values of generosity, tolerance and responsibility—at once mothers who nurture, sisters who support, daughters who achieve, and partners who build. Their efforts are foundational to shaping a cohesive society and a nation that embraces the ambitions of its people.
At Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement, this commitment is advanced through the development of dedicated initiatives that create a supportive work environment—one that enables women to thrive and broaden their participation in defence and security, both locally and internationally. The Emirati woman looks ahead with clarity of vision, continuing to set an inspiring example in ambition, service, and national contribution.
None of this would have been possible without the ultimate support of our UAE’s wise leadership, and H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, and the “Mother of the Nation”, in empowering Emirati women, and in creating an enabling environment for them to become active partners in the nation’s journey of development and progress.
